Edward C Stemley

Edward C. Stemley, Sr., age 70, was called to rest on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at his residence. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a residence of Boutte, LA. Edward was a graduate of Delgado Community College with a degree in Air Condition and Refrigeration. He was employed with the City of New Orleans as a license engineer until he retired. Beloved husband of the late Andrea Thomas Stemley. Loving father of Edward Stemley of Jackson, MS, Raymond (Sandra) Stemley of Baton Rouge, LA, Miguel (Lisa) Stemley of Boutte, LA and the late Andrea and Keith Stemley. Son of the late Corry and Cora Cheatham Stemley. Brother of Cora Stemley (Wayne) Wharton, Gail Stemley and the late Corry, Jr., Raymond, and Brandon Stemley, Albert Lindolph and Shirley Stemley Picou. Brother-in-law of Delores Lindolph; also survived by 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Charles Parish Hospital, Tulane Hospital, Touro Hospital and Ochsner Main Campus for the dedicated care and support shown to our love one Edward. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Living Waters Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Living Waters Baptist Church, 2104 Elysian Fields Ave., New Orleans, LA on Tuesday January 13, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
