Simone Simon

Simone Simon peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the age of 68. She was a native of Harvey, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Simone was a graduate of Southern University at New Orleans where she earned a B. S. degree in Social Work. She was employed with the City of New Orleans as a Property Manager of Multiservice Centers and Project Operations Administrator of Gallier Hall until her retirement in February of 2012. Beloved daughter of the late Milton Simon and Louise Gasper Simon. Granddaughter of the late Thomas and Victory Gasper and Richard and Margaret Simon. Loving sister of Doris Simon Hunter, Grace Simon Sider, Cathy Simon and the late Barbara Simon Faison; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of the City of New Orleans are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 922 Estalote Ave. Harvey, LA on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Louis Brooks Harrison, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
