Annie Southall Dunn

October 19, 1917 — January 18, 2015

Annie Mae Southall Dunn, a retired employee of Touro Infirmary, transitioned into eternal rest while at home surrounded by her family in Gretna, LA at the age of 97. She served as an Usher at Greater St. Stephen FGBC. Beloved wife of the late Jack Lindsey Dunn. Mother of Jacqueline Dunn Newman, Larry Dunn, Robert Celestine, Joseph Celestine and the late Elmo Dyer, Jr. Devoted mother-in-law of Welton Newman. Daughter of the late Charlotte Buck-Southall and Robert Southall. Sister of Ruth Allen of Los Angeles, CA. and the late Dorothy Thompson, Frozine Mathews, Lydia Black, Clara Southall, Beulah Southall, Milton January and Herbert Southall. Loving aunt of Julie Johnson-Noah and Eugene Rollins, also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family and also pastors, officers and members of Greater St. Stephen FGBC, Greater Mount Calvary Church, Beautiful Zion BC, Concordia LLC, SeaCor Holdings, Touro Infirmary and AT&T are invited to attend the funeral services at Greater St. Stephen FGBC, 5600 Read Blvd., New Orleans, LA. on Friday, January 23, 2015 for 11:00a.m. Visitation begins at 10:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
