Helmon Gordon, a retired truck driver for Cooper T. Smith, entered into eternal rest on Monday, January, 19, 2015. Father of Nathan Gordon, Cheryl Gordon, and Cynthia Vance. Son of the late Morel and Charlotte Gordon. Brother of the late Orita Poche', Orena Herbert, Lawrence, Isadore, Stanley, Whitney, Whitmore, and Clarence Gordon, also survived by 4 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 81 years a native of Wallace, La. and a resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Rock of Ages Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Rock of Ages Baptist Church 6533 Acre Rd. Marrero, La. on Monday, January, 26, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Gilbert Barnes officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
