Earnest Roberson

Earnest "Sonny" Roberson, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 26, 2015. Husband of Oralee Jimcoily Roberson. Father of Ora (Garland) Jimcoily, Shelia (late Mathew) Bennet, Earnest, Jr. (Rose), Wayne (Sharon), and Kenneth (Linda) Roberson. Son of the late Samuel and Leona Hammond Roberson, Sr. Brother of Louvenia Buckles, Earline Armstrong, and Shirley Mae Roberson. Brother in law of Fate Buckles, Sr., Stella and Lena Jimcoily, also survived by 15 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins , other relatives and friends. Age: 90 years a native Melville, La. and resident of New Orleans, La. for over 60 years. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Nazarene Baptist Church, Second Baptist Church, Asbury United Methodist Church, and neighboring churches; employees of Woldenberg Village are invited to attend the funeral service at Second Nazarene Baptist Church 3062 Boyd St., New Orleans, La on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Peter L. Crawford officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, La.
