James Jackson

James "Jimmie" Jackson, a retired Oiler at McDermott Tidewater, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015. Beloved husband of Beverly Jackson. Father of Emmet Garrison Jr., Melfred (Felicia) Garrison, Martinell (Beverly) Garrison Sr., and Webster (Constance) Garrison, Sr. Son of the late Willie Jackson, Sr. and Pearlie Whitney. Brother of Shirley Jackson and the late Cecilia Jackson Holden, Evelina Jackson Williams, Willie Jackson, Jr., Ernest Jackson, and Peter Jackson, Sr. Brother in law of Warren (Gloria) Francois, Marian Jackson, and the late Leon Francois, Sr. God father of April Kent, Kim Smith, and Dwayne Williams, also survived by 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 79 years a native of Barataria, LA and a longtime resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Evening Star Baptist Church and neighboring churches, members of Men & Ladies Lion Club, Employees of Elegant Hair Salon are invited to attend the funeral service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 1:00PM.
