Catherine Edison Cornelius, loving matriarch of her family, was called home to the Lord at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 10:00p.m. She was a native of New Roads, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA for the past 44 years. Catherine was employed as a nutritionist with the Jefferson Parish Council on Aging at the Westwego Senior Citizens Center. Beloved wife of the late Morene Cornelius, Sr. Loving mother of Cheryl Cornelius (A. Christopher, Sr.)Trotter, Morene Cornelius, Jr. and Ronald (Lucy) Cornelius. Grandmother of Morene Cornelius III, Danielle Trotter, Ronique Cornelius, A.Christopher Trotter, Jr. and Maleah White. Great grandmother of Cotton Stewart. Daughter of the late Isabelle Pierson and Daniel Edison. Sister of Roosevelt (Jacqueline) Coates, Albertha Ross and the late Alphonse Coach, David Pierson and Georgiana Jarrell; also survived a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of The Hope of Glory Church and neighboring churches; employees of Westwego Senior Citizens Center,Knollwood Christian School of Mobile, AL and Ingalls Shipyard of Pascagoula, MS are invited to attend the Funeral Service at The Hope of Glory Church, 1409 Romain St. Gretna, LA on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Dr. W.
