Regina Verrett Copper

Regina Verrett Copper peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the age of 71. She was a native and resident of Algiers, LA. Regina was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School and a retried Teacher's Aide with the Orleans Parish School Board. Beloved wife of the late Marcellus Cooper, Jr. Loving mother of Troy M. (Angela) Lawrence, Atrise M. Hunter, Crystal L. (Brian) Williams, Tonya R. Cooper, Joshua J. Copper, Marcella Searson, and the late Jimmie L. Lawrence. Daughter of the late Charles Verrett and Lillian County. Mother-in-law of the late Oscar Hunter; also survived by 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Greater St. Mary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Greater St. Mary Baptist Church, 1533 Horace St., Algiers, LA on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
