Bessie Coler Skidmore, peacefully departed this life on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Wife of 46 years to Eura Skidmore, Jr. Mother of Eura (Darnetta) Skidmore, III, Benjamin (Brenda) Skidmore, of Killeen, TX, Chiquita (Roderick) Roussell, and Letitia (Bosie) Wiley. Daughter of the late Rev. Freddie Coler Sr. and Bessie Coler. Sister of Dorothy Broglin Coler, Barbara Nell Dixon, Barbara Ann (Victor) Keller, and the late Freddie Coler, Jr. and Edward Coler. Daughter in law of Molly Skidmore of Bertrandville, LA; also survived by 9 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 70 years a native of Thibodaux, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Macedonia Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1219 Cohen St. Marrero, LA on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 10:00AM. Rev. Albert Mickel, officiating Viewing will be held from 8:30AM until the service time at the above named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
