Marie Catherine Nevil entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Monday, March 2, 2015 at the age of 70. She was a native of Brandon, MS and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Marie was a retired dietician from Our Lady of Wisdom Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Bernell M. Nevil, Sr. Devoted mother of Cassandra Nevil, Bernell M. (Jennifer) Nevil, Jr. and Andrea Johnson. Grandmother of the late King Nevil. Daughter of Rev. Robert Martin, Sr. and the late Eunice Martin and Albert Taylor. Sister of Dave Hunter, Jr., Joseph (Deborah) Hunter, Dr. Robert (Katherine) Martin, Jr., Donald Martin, Sr., Howard Martin, Paula Jones, Brenetta (Joseph, Sr.) Cheneau, Regina (George, Sr.) Mullen, Barbara (Odell) McGee and Cynthia Faye (Mark) Brooks. Mother-in-law of the late Alexander W. Williams, Sr.; also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
