Nedra Patrice Simmons

Nedra Patrice Simmons, a homemaker, peacefully entered into eternal rest at her residence on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the age of 53. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Terrytown, LA. Nedra attended Fisher High School. Beloved longtime companion of Davis Ross. Devoted mother of Vincent Simmons, Ronota Simmons-Smith and Jake McGinnis, III. Grandmother of the late Jace McGinnis. Daughter of the late Harold and Margaret Simmons. Granddaughter of the late Paul Adams and Hattie Whitney. Sister of Harold, Jr., Randy, Darryl, Priscilla, Betty and Tawanda Simmons, Neknitta (Bryant) Taylor, Dana Jones, Kenya Preatto and the late Tarrell Sally Simmons; also survived by 11 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Nazarene Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Nazarene Baptist Church, 3062 Boyd St., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Peter Crawford, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
