Freddie I. Howard entered into eternal rest Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 10:45 a.m. at his residence. He was a waiter and manager for multiple venues in New Orleans and served at the Governor's Mansion during the tenure of Gov. John McKeithen. Freddie served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and completed service as a Corporal in the 7th Division. Loving husband of the late Betty Jean Howard and the late Jessie Lena Howard. Father of Wandalyn, Randolph, and Tyrone Howard. Adopted father of Erica Howard. Son of the late Daisy Stewart Howard Muse and Will Howard. He was raised in Crowley, La. by his great aunt and uncle the late Sedonia and Joseph Robinson. Brother of the late Robert, Henderson, and Elizabeth Howard. Uncle of Iane Wimberly, also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Age: 88 years a native of Donaldsonville, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of New Kingdom Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at New Kingdom Missionary Baptist Church 3611 St. Ferdinand St. New Orleans, La. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00a.m. Visitation begins at 10:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
