Merine Smith Sanders, homemaker entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 30, 2015 at West Jefferson Medical Center. She was the mother of Thompson Temple C.O.G.I. C. Wife of the late Southern Sanders. Mother of Paulette S. (Sylvester) Davis, Jeanette S. Brooks of Toledo, Oh., Terry L. (Betty) Sanders, Sr. of Sun City, Fl., Karl E. Sanders of Oklahoma City, Ok., Gwendolyn J. Sanders, and the late Willie Sanders, Sr., Elwin Sanders, Floyd G. Sanders, Sr., and Mark O. Sanders, Sr. Daughter of the late Frank Smith, Sr. and Matilda Maryland Smith. Granddaughter of the late Dick and Oreea Maryland. Sister of Alka S. Perkins and the late James C. Smith, Sr., Emma Lee S. Griffin, Frank Smith, Jr., Jeff Smith, also survived by 42 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 92 years a native of Houma, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Thompson Temple Church of God In Christ and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service Thompson Temple Church of God in Christ 1515 Whitney Ave. Gretna, La. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Elder Keith E.
