George James Williams, Sr.

George James Williams, Sr. age 77, departed his earthly dwelling on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at West Jefferson Medical Center. He was a native of New Orleans, La. and a lifelong resident of Marrero, La. Devoted husband of 51 years to Rosalie Cullier Williams by second marriage and the late Shirley Adams Williams by first marriage. Father of Bryan (Betty), Dwayne Sr., James Sr. (Teresa), Julian, Paula, Valerie, George, Jr. (Delores), Leo (Anita) Dwayne (Simone) Williams and the late Yolanda and Elizabeth Williams. Son of the late James and Zetta Williams. Stepfather of Tommy Cullier. Brother of Marion Preatto, Marva Jones, Lorena Keller, Alfreda Collins, and Lengia Williams, and the late Alfred, Elton, and Leo Williams, and Audrey W. Benson, also survived by 34 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, 2 sisters in law, 4 brothers in law, 4 godchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also priest and parishioners, of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church 455 Ames Blvd. Marrero, La. On Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m., Rosary at 8:45a.m., and Celebration of Life at 9:30a.m. at the above the above named church.
