Idella Roberson Cryer

Idella Cryer went to meet her maker on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the age of 74. She was a native of Waterproof, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Devoted mother of Cadette (Robert) Jones, Reginald (Angela), Darrell and Iric Cryer. Daughter of the late Willis Johnson and Idella "Nancy" Johnson. Sister of Annie Lee Higgenbotham of New Orleans, LA and Gloria (James) Merchant of San Antonio, TX., Willis (Bertha) Reed, Sr. of Avondale, LA and Arthur (Shirley) Johnson of Waterproof, LA; also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Mount Everest Baptist Church, Word of Truth Fellowship, New Hope Baptist Church, Olive Branch Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of The Sanctuary Passages and University Hospital Maintenance Dept. are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at Mount Everest Baptist Church, 2837 First St., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
