Shamara "Shug" Latrell Girod, a nursing assistant, departed this life on Monday, April 27, 2015. Mother of Eve and Ivy Girod. Daughter of Desiree Girod and Robert Clay Bradley. Step daughter of Shanta Bradley. Granddaughter of Johnell Batiste, Joyce Girod Winzy , and the late Robert Girod and Ellis Bradley. Sister of Robert Williams, Clifford Sonnier, Ahmad Bradley, Reginald, Tamara, and Janice Girod and the late Lanardo Girod and David Williams. Niece of Don, Donell, Derell, Deneil (Kawona), Girod, David, Bernard, Ellis, Bradley, and James Batiste, Janice Batiste, Danita (Brian) Williams, Margaret Gasper, Diane (Rev. Lawrence ) St. Cyre, Sr., and the late Durand Girod and Clifford Bradley. Great niece of the late Irene Girod Verett. Goddaughter of Allen and Anna Goldsmith, also survived by a host of cousins, great aunts, great uncles, other relatives and friends. Age: 27 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Tulsa, Ok. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Providence Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, La. on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 10:00a.m Rev.
