Ernestine Perkins Johnson, a homemaker and seamstress, departed this life at The Carpenter House on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the age of 65. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Des Allemends, LA. Beloved daughter of the late Ruby Lockhart and Ernest Perkins. Loving sister of Marlon Perkins, Malcom T. Perkins, Pamela P. Reed and Betty J. Payne. Former wife of the late Wallace Simmons. Aunt of the late N.Turan Roach and Kanton A. Watkins; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
