Charles Morris Green

Charles "Charlie" Morris Green, age 80, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 15, 2015 at his residence. He was a native and resident of Algiers, LA. Charles was employed as a Social Studies teacher with the Orleans Parish School Board from which he retired after 34 years of service. He served his country as a Master Sergeant in U.S. Army Reserve 1191s for 24 years. Beloved husband of 59 years to Audrey Mae Rose Green. Devoted father of Kevin A. (Darlene) Green, Cassandra G. (Keith) Jackson and Kedric B. Green. Son of the late Rev. Earl and Lillian Gastinell Green. Grandson of the late Charles Green, Sr., Selena Brown, Rev. Morris and Victoria Gastinell. Brother of Geraldine G. (Eddie) Williams and the late Thomas Green, Sr. Son-in-law of the late Wesley, Sr. and Julia Rose. Nephew of Emelda Green, Charles (Billie) Green, Jr. and Edward Lee, Sr. Brother-in-law of Claudette Green, Doretha R. (Eddie) LaBeauve, Catherine R. (Charles) Brickley, Wesley, Jr. ,Alvin (Etta), and Betty Rose and Fredrick Alston; also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; L. B.
