Samuel Ruth, Sr.

Samuel Ruth, Sr., a retired Police Officer for New Orleans Parks and Recreations, entered into eternal rest at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte, LA at the age of 75. He was a native of St. Francisville, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Loving father of Larry (Adrienne) Ruth, Denise Ruth Lampton, Rose Ruth (Etheridge) Hart, Catherine Ruth Desnoyer, Troy Ruth. Dion Ruth (Nerry, Jr.) Livingston, Everett Ruth, Tarshia (Harry) Fontenot and the late Samuel Ruth, Jr. Son of the late George Ruth, Sr. and Hattie Washington Ruth. Grandson of the late David and Alberta Ruth. Brother of George, Jr., Wallace, Oren, Dr. Donald, Gerald, Nathaniel and Hattie Ruth, Elizabeth Jenkins, Barbara Levi, Peggy Jackson, Racheal Thomas and the late Hillary, Sr., Wardell, Ella, Camilla and Nellie Ruth. Former husband of Rosetta Ruth by first marriage and Rose Harris by second marriage; also survived by 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
