Leo Chester Prout, a carpenter, departed this life on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank. He was a 1965 graduate of L. B. Landry Class of 1965 and attended Delgado Community College and Southern University of New Orleans. Leo was a veteran of the United States Army. Beloved husband of the late Eileen C. Prout. Loving father of Darrin Hess and Erica Prout. Grandfather of Ajaye Busby. Son of the late Chester Prout and Leona Riley. Brother of Lynn C. Johnson, Ronald Richards, Albert Johnson, Ivy J. Prout, Janie P. Neal, Sandra Johnson, and Paulette Randell. Nephew of Shirley Riley, Estelle William, Evelyn Miller and Viola Riley. Cousin and best friend of Ernest Prout and Alfred Atlas. Brother-in-law of Fredia Richards; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Age: 68 years, a native and resident of New Orleans, LA.
