Jasper Larry Morgan

Jasper Larry Morgan passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 27, 2015. Jasper worked for the petroleum industry for 24 years, was an educator for 10 years, and gave historical carriage tours in the French Quarter where he was affectionately known as "The Buggy Man". He served 4 years in the United States Air Force and honorably discharged. Beloved husband of Carol Richard Morgan. Loving father of Jarvis Jamal (Miranda) Morgan and Dr. Jarelle Morgan (Marcus) Scott. Grandfather of Aria Morgan, Melody Morgan, Jackson Scott, Jarvis Morgan II, Chandler Scott, and Ava Scott. Son of the late Jasper M. Morgan and Marylue Taylor Morgan. Brother of Glenda M. (Lawrence) Rankin, Wanda M. (Charles) Tyler, and the late Tyronne (Leartine) Morgan, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, sisters in law, brothers in law other relatives and friends. Age: 73 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church, Progressive Church of Marrero, Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Boothville, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Second Zion Baptist Church 6520 Second Zion Blvd. Marrero, La. on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Pastor James Nelson Brown officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
