Alma Loston

Alma Wells Loston, age 83, peacefully departed this life on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at her residence. She was a native of Hermanville, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA. Beloved wife of Pastor Alfridia Loston. Loving mother of Charlie Grear, Sr., Bettie Bank, Tommy James Johnson, Earnestine Beasley, Yvonne Gafney, Shirley Funchess, Nettie McCarty, Debra Bulter, Freddie McCarty, Edith, Henry and Pam Kent Jackson, Karen Loston Halter, Annette Luke and the late Sammie Lee Johnson. Daughter of the late Wash Wells and Ollie Rogers. Sister of Pastor Eddie Wells, Sr., Robert Thomas, Carl Lee Wells, Annie Lemon, Bobbie Young, Ellen Dell Hymon and the late John Henry Wells and Carrie Lee Wells; also survived by 29 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Rock Baptist Church, Rock of Ages Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; members of Faithful Few Prayer Band are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 6533 Acre Rd. Marrero, LA on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Alfridia Loston, officiating; Pastor Gilbert Barnes, host pastor. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
