Florence Stewart Jones entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at her residence. Beloved wife of Nicholas Jones. Mother of Joan Marie Thibodeaux, Octavia Cookie (Stanley) Riley, Kevin Weary, Million, Maximilliouns, and Emexus Jones, Alexis J. Claiborne, and the late Patricia T. Francis, Robert, Ronald, and Aaron Thibodeaux. Daughter of the late Ernest (Martha) Stewart and Leanna C. Dorsey. Sister of Edward Stewart , Rose Mary Shiloh and the late Ernest Dorsey, Lillie Mae George, and Royal Stewart, also survived by 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends Age: 84 years a native of Gretna, La. and a resident of Algiers, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officer, and members of Greater Providence Baptist Church, St. Paul Baptist Church of Gretna, Garden of Prayer Family Worship Center (Meraux), Greater Mount Calvary Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Greater Providence Baptist Church 623 Newton St. Algiers, La. on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Oliver Carter officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: McDonogh Cemetery-Gretna, La.
