Marion "MaMa" Irene Jones, a homemaker, entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Monday, July 18, 2015 at 2:18p.m. Beloved mother of Calvin, Denise, and Kenneth (Alicia) Jones. Daughter of the late Eli Jones, Sr. and Josephine Lozan Jones. Sister of Josephine (Terry) Brown and the late Joyce Ann Williams, Vera Jones Johnson, Barbara Ann Charles, Lois Ann Williams, and Eli Jones, Jr. Neice of Gloria Rivers of Oakland, Ca. Sister in law of the late Lawrence Charles and Willard Kirsh. Godsister of Carol Bush and Doris Washington. Spiritual daughter Rai Lynn Heitmeier, also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 79 years a lifelong native and resident New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephens Baptist Church, First Free Mission Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Our Lady of Wisdom, Boomtown Casino, Moran Towing, NOLA Girls Management, DaVita Dialysis, and Ochsner Medical Center are invited to attend the funeral service at First Free Mission Baptist Church (host church) 426 Lamarque St. New Orleans, La. on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dr. Norman N. Francis officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: McDonoghville Cemetery-Gretna, La.
