Jerome Watkins, Sr., a retired welder, departed this life at West Jefferson Medical Center on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the age of 65. He was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Beloved husband of Patricia Watkins. Loving father of Shawn (Sylvia) Hills, Mia Hills, Danielle (Sterling) Gordon, Travis, Troy Lynn, Carine, Dion and Terrence Watkins and the late Jerome Watkins, Jr. Grandfather of the late Terreion Watkins. Son of Rev. Clarence Watkins, Sr. and the late Margaret Watkins. Brother of Clifford (Gail) Watkins, Eric (Phyllis) Watkins, Delores (Arthur) Kelly, Patricia Watkins, Joyce Bell, Dimitri (Mark) Patterson and the late Clarence Watkins, Jr.; also survived by 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Christian Restoring Hope Outreach Ministry and all neighboring churches; employees of Barriere Construction are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Christian Restoring Hope Outreach Ministry, 6564 Acre Rd.
