Richard Lloyd

Richard Lloyd, age 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at his residence surround by his wife and other loved ones. He was a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. Mr. Lloyd was a 1961 graduate of George Washington Carver; he attended Southern University, and was employed with LP&L/Entergy until his retirement in 2000. Loving husband of Denese Banks-Lloyd. Devoted father of Phyllis Lloyd-Washington, Randy Lloyd,and Richard Antonio Lloyd. Son of the late William Lloyd, Sr. and Dorothy Bundy-Lloyd McMillon. Brother of William Lloyd, Jr. and Walter Lloyd. Son-in-law of Rev. Vera B. Roscoe and the late Lamar Roscoe. Nephew of Nita Mae Chirlow; also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 sisters-in-law, 1 brother-in-law, 7 godchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members, of Life Center Cathedral, Franklin Ave. Baptist Church, Second Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; Special Thanks to the dedicated and caring staff and employees of Canon Hospice, West Jefferson Medical Center ER and 8th floor staff, Dr. C.
