Christine Delaney Thomas Holder peacefully entered into eternal rest at Canon Hospice on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the age of 63. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Christine was a retired employee of the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. Beloved wife of 19 years to Alvin Holder, Sr.. Loving mother of Daryl (Erika) Thomas, Jr., Jennifer (Tyrone) Barthelemy and Dwayne (Lora) Thomas, Sr. Stepmother of Alvin Holder, Jr. and Kimberly Mayfield. Daughter of the late Ruth and August Delaney, Sr. Sister of Cornell Delaney, August Delaney, Warren Gomez, Wayne Delaney, Carol Jupiter, Cynthia Delaney, Constance Thomas, Catherine Flint, and the late Augustine Delaney and Madeline Broussard; also survived by her former husband and children's father Daryl Thomas, Sr., 7 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the Family, also pastors, and members of Franklin Street Church of Christ and all neighboring churches; employees of Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiner Office are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Franklin Street Church of Christ, 431 Franklin St. Gretna, LA on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
