Warren "Rickey" James Malveaux, age 62, peacefully departed his life on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at his home surrounded by love ones. He was a native of Palmetto, LA and a lifelong resident of Harvey, LA. Warren was a graduate of West Jefferson High School and Southern University where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education. He served his country as a member of the U. S. Navy and was employed as Police Lieutenant with Tulane University for 29 years. Beloved husband of 37 years to his college sweetheart Mona Young Malveaux. Devoted father of Tewanna and Tasha Malveaux. Grandfather of Asia Echols Malveaux. Son of the late Hilda and Leroy Malveaux, Sr. Brother of Helen (Tim) Brown, Octavia (Horace) Fennidy, Leroy (Sandra) Malveaux, Jr., Walter (Shelia) Malveaux, John (Mary Ann) Malveaux, Troy Jordan and the late Linda Marie Alexander and Michael D. Malveaux. Son-in-law of Audrey M. Young and the late Matthews C. Young, Sr. Brother-in-law of Bobby (the late Larry), Denise (Kenneth), Cecelia (Darren), Renee (Joseph), Matthews, Jr. and the late Diane Young; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
