James Odell Henry

James Odell Henry, a Offshore Rigger for Texaco, transitioned peacefully from this life on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Bayside Healthcare Center, at the age of 73. He was a native of Weir, Ms. and a resident of Marrero, La. James graduated from Lincoln High School where he participated in Track and Field and earned his CDL in Pensacola, Fl. Beloved husband of 41 years to Barbara L. Hayes-Henry. Father of Tabatha Henry (Dwayne) Robertson, Nicole L. Henry, Courtney M. Henry. Son of the late Joseph and Flora Henry. Brother of Oliver W. Henry, Diane (Joe) Pineyro, Kathleen Edwards, Katherine Dillon, Benny Edwards, Charles Lewis, and the late George Jernigan and Wesley M. (Lyntrell) Davis. Uncle of Dexter (Dianna) Jernigan, Marla (Rayshard) Shelby, Diovani Pineyro, Ariel Pineyro, Britton Pineyro, Trinity Pineyro, and Brandy Edwards, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Westwego Church of God In Christ and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Westwego Church of God In Christ 41 Norton St. Westwego, La. on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:00.m.
