Bernard "Nard" Bradley, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the age of 55. He was a native of Carpenter, MS and a long time resident of Harvey, LA. Bernard was a 1977 graduate of West Jefferson High School and enlisted in the United States Army from which he retired after 20 years of service. Following retirement he was employed with the USDA National Finance Center as a Financial Management Assistant. Loving father of Bernarta Monique Bradley (Kenneth) Vontoure, Bernard "BJ" Bradley, Jr. and the late Lytia Michelle Bradley. Grandfather of Kenneth Laquan Vontoure, Jr., Kendall Michael-Bernard Vontoure, Kennadi Michelle Vontoure and Tiana Monique Bradley. Son of Johnell Batiste and the late Ellis Bradley. Stepson of the late James Batiste. Brother of David, Ellis "Bo", and Robert Clay (Shanta) Bradley, James and Janice Batiste and the late Clifford Bradley; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Mt. Pilgrim B.C., Mt. Olive B.C., Evening Star B.C. and all neighboring churches; employees of USDA National Finance Center, Iberiabank, SLVHCS, and River Birch are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 6533 Acre Rd. Marrero, LA on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00a.m. Pastor Gilbert L. Barnes, host pastor, Pastor Ricky Johnson, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
