Octave Franklin, Sr.

Octave "Chubby" Franklin, Sr., age 96, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. He was a native and lifelong resident of Algiers, LA. Octave was a World War II Army Veteran and a retired employee of the Naval Air Station. Beloved husband of 69 years to the late Theresa Noil Franklin. Loving father of Lucille (Wilbert) Jones, Doris (Walter) Alveris, Emelda (Raymond) Gabriel, Iris (Abraham) Black, Theresa (Mack, III) Ross, Benjamin, Sr., James, Ray Anthony (Lavetta) and Bendell Franklin and the late Octave(Maxine)Franklin, Jr. Son of the late Isiah Franklin, Sr. and Della Gay Franklin. Brother of the late Leontine F. Moore, Lucille F. Berry, Leona F. Noil, Delores F. Ross, Lena F. Sheridan, Louis, Sr. Ivory, Sr., and Isiah Franklin, Jr. ; also survived by 24 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, 40 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
