June "Junie" Marie Green, age 63, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at her residence. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a residence of Marrero, LA. June was a graduate of L.B. Landry High School and Loyola University. She was a retired Medical Transcriptionist. Beloved wife of Monroe Green. Loving mother of Jerone Alexander (Julie) Mitchell of Dallas, TX. Grandmother of Alexander Baker Mitchell of Dallas, TX. Daughter of the late Bernard J. Young and Gloria Lombard Young. Sister of Robert Young and the late Bernadine J. Smith and Peter Young Sr.; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Greater Mt. Calvary Church, Life Center FGBC, Franklin Ave. Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of West Jefferson Medical Center; Staff and students of Episcopal School of Dallas, TX are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
