Grace Karen Brooks

Grace Karen Johnson-Brooks entered into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Friday, October 30, 2015 at the age of 57. She was native of Harvey, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Beloved wife of 39 years to Glennis R. Brooks. Loving mother of Lashiana A. (Raymond, Sr.) Degree, Enjoli Brooks and Deondra Brooks. Grandmother of Raymond, Jr., Rayion and Rayden Degree, Keith Grear, Essence McCraine and Jah'mari Brooks. Daughter of Darrel A. Johnson, Sr. and Willie Mae Johnson. Granddaughter of the late Edward Johnson, Sr., Ida M. Johnson, Cleveland Matthews, Sr. and Beatrice Matthews. Sister of Darrel (Wanda) Johnson, Jr., Damion Morris and the late Kevin Johnson and D. Morris. Daughter-in-law of the late Naomi Brooks; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Houshold of Faith Family Worship Church, Progressive Church and all neighboring churches; John Ehret High School Class of 1976; employees of Home Depot and West Jefferson Medical Center are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Household of Faith Family Worship Church, 2074 Paxton St. Harvey, LA on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
