Girlie Christine Lewis departed this life on Friday, October 30, 2015. Loving fiancé Donald Evans. Devoted mother of Shandrell (Melvin, III) Wilson, Rondell (Donna) Lewis, Keshell Lewis and Garrell Lewis. Daughter of the late Rogers Lewis, Sr. and Pearl Marie Benneth. Sister of Michael Wilson, Sr., Glenda Davenport, Catherine Wilson-Triggs, Zenobia Wilson, Jeanette Wilson and the late Rogers Lewis, Jr. ; also survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 62 years, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Faith in Action Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
