Josephine Veal Washington

Josephine Veal Washington, a retired central supply supervisor, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the age of 90. She was a native of Baton Rouge, La. and a resident of Bridge City, La. Companion of Ernest Jackson. Mother of Hilda McClure, Horace Washington, Sr., Betty Washington, Eric Veal, Charley Veal, Debbie Lewis, Mark Veal and the late Nathaniel Washington, David Veal, Naomi Jones, and Caroline Washington. Daughter of the late Joseph and Estelle Veal. Sister of the late Mary Veal, Stella Williams, John Veal, Arthur Veal, Charles Veal and Raymond Veal, also survived by 39 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second Salvation Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Salvation Baptist Church 212 Marrero St. Bridge City, La. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Charles Crawford Officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, La.
