Roslyn Marie Gougis

Roslyn “Rozzie” Marie Gougis, age 60, departed this life on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Roslyn was a graduate of Holy Cross College and a former employee of Jefferson Parish Water Department as an Environmental Specialist. Loving mother of James (Sherry) Gougis, Sr. and Raynika Gougis (Terrance) Watkins. Daughter of the late Freddie and Juanita Gougis. Sister of Regina Gougis, Wanda Gougis, Carola (Lawrence) Jourdan, Lisa Gougis, and Angela (Kenneth) St. Cyr. Aunt of the late Mesia Jourdan; also survived by 8 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St Anthony Catholic Church, 924 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. unitl service time at the above named church.
