Mary Allen departed this life at Good Samaritan Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Thursday, December 24, 2015. Wife of the late Herman Allen, Sr. Mother of Albert (Patricia) Allen, Alma (Edwin) Allen, Jacqueline Allen (George, Sr.) Chestnut and the late Herman Allen, Jr., and Rose Lee Marigny. Grandmother of the late Brian T. Murray. Great grandmother of the late Brandon Marigny. Daughter of the late Rev. Walter Ross, Sr. and Lillian (Polk) Ross. Sister of Walterine Coleman of Broadview, IL and the late Walter Ross, Jr., George Ross, and Arthur Ross, also survived by 13 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Age: 92 years a native and resident of New Orleans, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Bernard Community Baptist Church, St. Luke AME Church , and neighboring churches; employees of Good Samaritan Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Canon Hospice, St. Bernard Community Center, Bourbon House, Celta Services, and Mr. B’s are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Bernard Community Baptist Church 3938 St. Bernard Ave. New Orleans, LA on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.

Interment: Resthaven Cemetery-New Orleans, LA.
