Betty Mae Banks Ernest, a retired housekeeper for Holiday Inn, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 18, 2015 at her residence.

Wife of the late Rev. Louis Ernest. Mother of Charlie Vanderpool, Jr. and Gregory T. Vanderpool. Daughter of the late Clarence, Sr. and Ruth Banks. Sister of the late Barbara Slack and Clarence Banks, Jr. , also survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Age: 75 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Little Zion Baptist Church #3 and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Little Zion Baptist Church #3 441 Wilson St. Marrero, La. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 11:00a.m.

Rev. Norman Smith, III officiating

Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.

Interment: Providence Memorial Park Cemetery-Metairie, La.
