Frances Neal McDaniel

Frances Lee Neal Stamps McDaniel entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at West Jefferson Medical Center at the age of 84. She was a native of Hermanville, MS and a resident Marrero, LA. She was a retired bus driver for the Jefferson Parish Public School System. After retirement she became a caregiver, a job that brought great joy to her. Beloved wife of the late Booker T. Stamp, Sr. and Louis McDaniel. Devoted mother of Booker T. (Donna) Stamps, Mary Stamps Franklin, Deborah Stamps Coston, Theodore (Lori) Stamps, James Charles (Janine) Stamps, and Keokuk McDaniel. Stepmother of Deborah McDaniel. Daughter of the late Leotha Neal and Estelle Williams. Sister of Andrew Neal and the late Ray and Leotha Neal, JC and Leroy Singleton, Donia “Doris” Chess Tigler, and Katie Mae Johnson. Sister-in-law of Mozella Singleton and the late Joseph Johnson, Sr. and Willie Mae Neal Stewart. Devoted friend of Johnel Batiste, Thelma Heron, Alice Porter, Lucinda Rowe and Marva Coleman; also survived by 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Progressive Church, Little Zion #3, Mt Herman Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of UPS, Jefferson Parish School Board, West Jefferson Medical Center, CCX Medical Imaging, and Gretna Police Dept. are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Progressive Church, 437 Cohen St. Marrero, LA on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Sterling Mealancon, officiating

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.

Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
