Gregory Charles Davis, Sr.

Gregory Charles (Burks) Davis, Sr., a pipefitter, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the age of 54. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Houma, LA.

Companion of Peggy Pharr. Father of Tiffany (Shawn) Robinson, Gregory, Jr. and Tyler Davis, and Linear (Donavin) Boyd. Son of the late Raymond Burks, Sr. and Marion Davis Burks. Grandson of the late Willie, Sr. and Patsy Davis and Haywood, Sr. and Agnes Burks. Brother of Raymond (Evelyn) Burks, Jr., Tiffany (Brandon) Jackman, and Tara (Ben) Traore, also survived by 9 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Eagle Wright Baptist Church and neighboring churches; employees of Avondale Shipyard and Gulf Island Fabricators are invited to attend the viewing at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA. on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 4:00p.m. until 6:00p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at Eagle Wright Baptist Church 3113 W. Park Ave. North, Gray, LA on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.

Interment: Allen Chapel Cemetery-Thibodaux, LA.
