Bernadette Divinity Peterson

Bernadette Divinity Peterson, age 53, peacefully entered into eternal rest at her residence surrounded by loved ones. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Beloved wife of Kenneth D. Peterson, Sr. Loving mother of Kenneth D. Peterson, Jr. and Avery A. Peterson. Devoted daughter of Louis W. Divinity and the late Bonnie Bell Divinity. Sister of James (Louise) Flowers, Louis W. Divinity, Jr., Evonnie (Robert Lee, Sr.) Odoms, Theresa Ware, Bruce Divinity, Chris Divinity, Rosetta (the late Jarvis, Sr.) Burrell, Vicki (Wardell) Stewart, and Kim (Michael) Ratcliff. Devoted niece of Eva Holmes; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and many others that called her mother and friend. Bernadette will be remembered for her kind and giving spirit, her smile, and her faithfulness to God and her family.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Jesus is Lord Evangelistic Ministries, Greater Mount Calvary Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Greater Mount Calvary Church, 1600 Westwood Dr. Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 12:00p.m.
