Serena Allen

Serena Scott Allen peacefully entered into eternal rest at one residence on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the age of 89. She was a native of Slidell, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Beloved wife of the late Wilson Allen, Sr. Loving mother of Mary Delores Hunter, Luisah Teish, Safi (Albert) Wright, Gloria Walton, Sheila Allen, Deanne Allen, Wilson Allen, Jr., Wyatt Scott Allen and the late Joyce Butts. Daughter of the late Wyatt and Mary Jones Scott. Granddaughter of the late Rachel Jones. Sister of the late Willie Scott, Johnny Scott and Doretha Brooks; also survived by 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of White Dove Fellowship Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at White Dove Fellowship Church, 3600 Manhattan Blvd. Harvey, LA on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
