Louis Lawrence Sheppard, Sr.

Louis Lawrence Sheppard, Sr. departed this life on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at his residence at the age of 75. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a residence of Harvey, LA. Louis was a graduate of Joseph S. Clark High School and Isaac Delgado Community College. He was a former stock supervisor with Winn Dixie Grocery Store. Beloved husband of Ruby M Melancon Sheppard. Loving father of Louis, Jr., Mark, Luke, Jeremiah and Nefertaria Sheppard. Son of the late Lawrence Sheppard and Julia L. Marshall. Brother of Edison Marshall, Bobbie Marshall, Isiah Lewis, Althea Laws, Dorothy Gillespie, Yvonne Rhines, Celestine Harris, Julia Margaret Sheppard, Essie Blanchard, and the late Hugh Marshall and Brenda Sheppard; also survived by 5 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of White Dove Fellowship Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at White Dove Fellowship Church, 3600 Manhattan Blvd. Harvey, LA on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Larry Smith, officiating

Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.

Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
