Eugene Morris Emilien, Sr

Eugene Morris Emilien, Sr. peacefully entered into eternal rest at his residence on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the age of 72. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Eugene was a retired Telephone Technician from Bell South and an Associate Minister of Second Salvation Baptist Church. He serviced his country as a Para Trooper with the United States Army. Beloved husband of Lou Emilien. Loving father of Amanda (Edward) Mitchell, Pamela Bell, Eugene (Megain) Emilien, Jr., Yvette (Angel) Aquila, Antoinette Emilien and Tonya Emilien. Son of the late Frank Emilien, Jr. and Marie Eugene Emilien. Brother of Frank (Ina) Emilien, Wayne Emilien, Jacqueline (Oscar) Patrick, Gwendolyn (Happ) McWilliam and the late Jerald Emilien; also survived by 24 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Salvation Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Salvation Baptist Church, 212 Marrero St. Bridge City, LA on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Charles L. Crawford, Sr.

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the church.

Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
