Augusta Davis Eugene

Augusta M. Eugene, a homemaker, peacefully entered into eternal rest at her residence on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the age of 81. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA.  Beloved wife for over 60 years to Bertrand L. Eugene, Sr. Loving mother of Andrial (Erwin) George, Bertrand L. Eugene, Jr., and her niece Velma Cunningham whom she loved as a daughter. Daughter of the late Loretta Oledge and Samuel Davis, Jr. Sister of Anthony, Marion, Samuel, Tyrone, Reynolds, Burnetta, Jean and Jeanetter Davis; also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Home Ministries and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Home Ministries, 1616 Robert C. Blake Sr. Dr. (formerly Carondelet St.), New Orleans, LA on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
