Julianne “Jewel” H. Williams, a retired Certified Nursing Assistant, departed this life at West Jefferson Medical Center on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the age of 67. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Jewel was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School and Delgado Community College. Loving mother of Joshua and Otis Williams. Devoted friend of Wallace Williams. Beloved daughter of Lucille H. Edwards and the late James Harris. Stepdaughter of the late Ernest Dorsey. Sister of Victor (Mona), Edward, Michael (Deidra), Patricia, and Erna Dorsey, Kenneth and James Harris, Jr., Sharon (Charles) Canda, Donna Davis of Beaumont, TX, Donna Brown, Sylvia Stephens, Avis Harris of Dallas, TX, Leanna “Joyce” Cashmier, Annie Mae Landry, and the late Carolyn, Rita Mae and Ernest Dorsey, Jr., and Lillie Mae D. Brown. Niece of Dorothy Clegett and the late James “Buddy” Henry and Helen Gibbs. Godmother of Tasha Thomas, Rayshanda Dorsey, Harron Murphy, Herman Johnson and Sandra Zerangue. Devoted friend of Cynthia Keith, Doris Green, and Janell Bell. Former wife of the late Isaac Williams; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of True Fellowship Christian Center and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at True Fellowship Christian Center, 1101 Franklin St. Gretna, LA on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
