Roland Jasmine

Roland M. Jasmine passed away at his residence on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the age of 64. He was a native of New Orleans, LA, a former resident of Marrero, LA and presently residing in Westwego, LA. Roland was a 1970 graduate of West Jefferson High School. He was a Cabinet Maker and former Security Guard.   Beloved husband of Shelia Edwards Jasmine. Son of the late Oscar and Lillian Williams Jasmine. Father of Conqueldia, Dwight and Shane. Grandfather of Imaria, Shonquell, Kingston and Sylvester. Brother of Carey J. (the late Clarence) Johnson, Oscar, Russell, Rudolph and Joyce Jasmine. Nephew of Viola Thompson; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Mary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St Mary Baptist Church, 6223 6th Ave. Marrero, LA on Friday February 12, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Edward Joseph, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
