Marylee Burton Short entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at her residence.

Mother of Beverly S. Bankston Jolly and the late Lem Samuel Hookfin. Wife of the late Joseph Short. Dauhgter of the late Leroy Burton and Colie M.Tillery. Sister of Ethel Lee Porter, Georgia Mae Hart, Lillie M. Tillery, Rose Hall, Oral Lee Tanner, Imogene Holland, Bernadette Bell, Diane Mason, Edwina James, Cesely Burton, and Deadra Burton. Stepsister of Sonia Burton and the late Macky Burton, also survived by 5 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Age: 86 years a native of Greensburg, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church 3512 Highway 90 W Avondale, LA. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10:00a.m.
