Jessie Henderson

Jessie Henderson, a retired sandblaster, peacefully entered into eternal rest at Ferncrest Manor Living Center on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the age of 78. He was a native of Ferriday, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Beloved husband of Rosalind Henderson. Devoted father of Doris (Larry) Riggins and Dexter (Angela) Henderson. Loving grandfather of Derrick (Cynthia) Whitley, Darnell (Candic) Henderson and James Bloodsaw. Son of the late Walter, Sr. and Beatrice Wallace Henderson. Brother of Louis, Leon (Linda), Cemuel (Pricilla), Wilbert, Leroy, and Oliver (Mattie) Henderson, Ernestine Harris, Virginia (Ike) Washington, Elizabeth Calhoun and the late Walter Henderson, Jr., Ernest Henderson, Ethel Martin and Thelma Webb; also survived by 13 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Mt Olive Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1701 Estalote Ave. Harvey, LA on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 12:00p.m.

Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
