Bernadine Price Ross

Bernadine “Bern” Price Ross entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 8, 2016 at the age of 74. She was a resident of Lower Coast Algiers Cutoff Community. Bernadine was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School and Katie Beauty School.  Beloved wife of the late Warren Ross, Sr. Devoted mother of Donna Lyn Williams, Desria Altar Williams, the late Portland P. Stampley, and her niece Lorraine Rene Smith whom she loved as a daughter. Stepmother of Catherine, Warren, Jr., Chris and Kent Ross and the late Patricia Charles. Beloved daughter of the late Lawrence, Sr. and Helen Benn Price. Sister of Lawrence Price, Jr., Altar (Irvin) Butler, Howard Price, Sr., Joyce Price, Leona (Gene) Roy, Catherine Phoenix, and the late Milton Price. Niece of Isaac Benn, Jr. and Percy Rose, Sr. Godmother of Tara Roy and Lynn Gene Williams; also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members, of Second Baptist Church, Second Nazarine Baptist Church, Asbury United Methodist Church and all neighboring churches; L. B. Landry Class of 1961; members of Nazarine Benevolent Society and neighbors and friends of The Cutoff and Algiers Communities are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Baptist Church, 2836 Sullen Place, Algiers, LA on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Andre Sigler, officiating

Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m.-9:50a.m. ONLY at the above named church.

Interment: Nazarine Cemetery-Algiers, LA.
